The easiest way to respond is by peppering your answer with facts about the company. Including growth data you have researched from their official website or social media handles would be helpful too.

“I know you are a company that started in 2001 and has made it to the list of top 40 companies amongst the Fortune 500 companies. I would be interested in joining your esteemed organisation due to my educational background. I would not like to miss the chance to enhance my knowledge and enrich my experience. Can I look forward to joining the team?”

This is an excellent answer since it shows you researched adequately and mentioned facts that cast the company in a positive light. As you may observe, the answer ends with a question. This tactic is often helpful in impressing interviewers.

Founded in 2009, your company has delivered what most corporations couldn’t. Your company’s perfect model leads to work-life balance and contributes to fulfilling social responsibility.

Yet another program undertaken by the company has motivated underprivileged children to gain literacy in the schools maintained by the company.

What NOT to Say in Your Answer?

Specific responses to the question “what do you know about our company?” may fail to impress the interviewer. It would help to avoid saying the following when answering this question:

  • Inaccurate or wrong facts about the company.
  • Incorrect information about its founders.
  • Incorrect data related to the company’s growth.
  • Wrong information about the company’s projects.
  • Lies or false compliments.
  • Any references to an existing employee in the company or any other person of higher authority.
  • Too many optimistic statements.
